Project Goals
SeaLight aimed to establish a bold and distinctive brand identity to advocate for increased female representation in the maritime industry. The goal was to create a compelling visual and digital presence that resonates with female mariners and highlights the organization's mission to drive change and foster inclusivity within a traditionally male-dominated field.
Short Overview
SeaLight, led by Kamila Calko, is dedicated to transforming the maritime industry by empowering female mariners. Our project focused on developing a brand identity that reflects the values of empowerment, connection, and transformation. We sought to enhance their online presence with a modern, engaging website and supportive marketing materials that align with SeaLight’s mission.
What We Did
- Created a brand identity for SeaLight, including a bold new logo, an evocative color palette, and a dynamic web presence.
- Designed a brand style that embodies empowerment and connection, utilizing star motifs and a color transition from traditional navy to vibrant teals, cyan, gold, and amber.
- Developed a 3-page website that effectively communicates SeaLight’s mission and connects with their target audience.
Challenges & Solutions
- Challenge: Effectively conveying the dual focus of SeaLight's brand—empowering female mariners while addressing the industry’s gender disparity—in a visually compelling way.
- Solution: We employed a design strategy that combined star motifs with a transitioning color palette to symbolize guidance and transformation. This approach created a strong visual identity that reflects SeaLight’s commitment to empowering women and fostering industry change.
